Laura Cathryn Thurlow // LaurelBrae

Laura is a writer, film & theatre-maker based between Scotland and London. 

Laura graduated with distinction from Toronto Metropolitan University's prestigious School of Image Arts with a BFA in Film Studies. She has an MA in Directing from Screen Academy Scotland, and an MLitt from the University of Glasgow in Creative Writing.

The recipient of the 2024 North Literary Agency Prize, Laura is currently working on her debut novel, Triangle. 

​

Her first pamphlet of poetry, My Darling Girl, You Do Not Have Forever is 

forthcoming later this year.

​

Laura's practice is particularly focused on themes of femininity, dreams and madness.
